Our Mission: To Conduct events for the general welfare of the community, and to financially assist Myakka City, FL residents who are struggling financially due to life-threatening illness, chronic illness, or major accident resulting in long-term medical attention requirements.
Welcome to our community page, dedicated to the time honored tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. We exist as a Myakka City community based support system, dedicated to those families and people in need financially as covered in our mission statement above.
Strength in numbers:
Our membership numbers help our foundation obtain the grants and funding necessary to ensure our community has the support it needs. Please join our foundation by clicking on the application link above, also please support our sponsors listed via our "Sponsors" link.
When in need:
We never plan on needing the help of others, however if you ever find yourself in a situation and in need of assistance from your community please fill out the "Application for Assistance" form and submit it via mail to our PO Box. Once received our independent review person will see if it fits our requirement guidelines. If it does qualify, you will be contacted directly for further processing. We are your neighbors and you are not alone.
Our foundation needs volunteers! Please stop by the Myakka City Fire Department station 2 on SR 70 @ 6pm every 3rd Monday of every month. Anyone and everyone is invited stop in for updates on your community and to see what you can do to help your neighbors.
Myakka City Foundation receives a $1000 Grant!
In the picture is Daniel Cacchiotti accepting a check for $1000 from Dr. Sam Seider of the Manatee Community Foundation Lakewood Ranch Community Fund. Myakka City Foundation received this grant for our 2015 Angel Tree Christmas program. Last years program was an incredible success with many children benefitting from the kindness and generosity of those in our community. This grant will help make the 2015 year even better. We send our deepest appreciation to the Manatee Community Foundation and all those involved that made this happen.
